"Dear Parish Clerks and Councillors

Our refuse and recycling crews set out this morning to collect in your area but had to return to the depot because of the problems caused by fresh snowfall. The next refuse collection will be next Tuesday, 19 January. Recycling that should have been collected today will be collected in two weeks' time (or four for glass)."

I believe that our recycled stuff is still due for collection on the 19th as well.

Reckon they should get Ali and Muna to drive their refuse trucks !!!!

Thanks for the info John, as you say, Ali & Muna s/b their drivers!

Re glass recycling we shall just have to drink at the S & S Clubto save filling up our own bins!

By the way--is that a frozen council worker on the Green bench!
